Samantha Rodriguez, a born and raised Dallasite, is a lifelong artist. She is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, where her love of both the stage and visual expression found a nurturing home. From there she was recruited by the University of Evansville Theatre Department, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts and graduating Magna Cum Laude.  While at Evansville, Samantha was able to delve into the world of hair and makeup design and costume design alongside her performance specialty.   Samantha’s makeup, hair/ wig designs and their execution for the play Les Liaisons Dangereuses earned her first place for the 2008 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region III Alcone Makeup Design Award, culminating in runner-up for the national awards.

She has enjoyed a career in both stage and screen working locally with Shakespeare Dallas, Pegasus Theatre, The Ocher House, SMU Meadows Department of Theatre and TNT's reboot of 'DALLAS,' seasons 2 & 3.  After cancellation of the show, she wanted to parlay her artistic talents into a field where her art skills could be of use to help people, leading her into the world of permanent makeup. In 2015 she completed her esthetician training at Paul Mitchell the School Dallas, were she was the recipient of the Extra Mile Award. From there she studied with Terry Lively from The House of Art for her apprenticeship in permanent cosmetics, logging in 140 hours of training.

Beginning July 2018, Samantha will be focusing on producing a tangible manifestation of her varied talents. Her husband is temporarily moving the couple to New Zealand, and it is her hopes to use this distance from her known world to create and explore.
